John Wick is an amazing man. I met for the first time in person at DarkCon, but have known about for a looong time previous, thanks to Oshiah sharing some of John's writings in Pyramid Magazine with me.
He keeps a Live Journal and was good enough to steal some of my photo's from the Con to emphasize how much fun he had! So, naturally I have to link to that page and share it with you all!

I will post more personal entries soon. There are a lot of things happening in my life at the moment and I think it will be a good idea to talk about them in the open as it were. Keep your eyes posted for more in the near future...

A little late, but better than nothing

I guess I haven't said this "Officially" yet online. Happy New Year!
Mine has started out with a combo punch of a stellar accomplishment, (DarkCon '07) and a rather depressing set of setbacks. Namely my mother's failing health and my own health issues in the form of the Con Plague (as some are calling it) that is an upper respiratory infection that just won't go away! As a result of it, I am unable to visit my mom in the hospital which is really killing me!

Tomorrow I have an appointment with my Dr. to get some antibiotics that should help speed things along the path of healing.

This isn't how I wanted to start my year. But there is a long road of opportunity ahead so I will be making the best of it as it happens.

One benefit from the plague is that I reconnected with a friend I hadn't seen in a long time. It was a really nice and chocolatey way to spend some time.

The down side is that I have been feeling so icky I haven't been able to accomplish any of the household tasks that I had planned (like cleaning my room!). sigh.

OK. This is all I can write at the moment. I need my Nyquil.
