The Class of 1984 Reunion

It finally happened. It's official. I can stop holding my breath now...(insert heavy exhaling sound here) I have attended my 20 year High School Reunion!
I can clearly remember times back in HS when I would think about what my future would be in the year 2000. I mean, I did the math and figured out that I would be 34 years old when the new millennium arrived, although to be honest, I never once thought of the year 2000 as a "New Millennium". And even though I knew what my age would be, I had no idea what it MEANT to be 34...and now, I am 38 and creeping up on the Big Four Oh! There are many things that happened to me in the last 20 years that are not surprising. At least not to me. And many other things that I would never have guessed would have happened. Isn't that just the way life is...?
There were about 60-70 people from my graduating class in attendance. That's not a lot considering there were 400 students in that class! But still, a nice amount for the event. Enough to make it worth while in going. Getting to see a few people that I had forgotten I even knew, and make small talk conversation with them was pleasant. So...now that this is out of the way, I suppose this would be a good time in my life to focus on my future and not my past. The timing is interesting on that count as my employers benefits package open enrollment is coming up in the coming weeks and that is exactly what I have to focus on: The Future. Making decisions that will have to last me for the entire year and may effect my financial health as well as my physical well being can be a tad stressful. Good thing I have an EAP plan to help with the Stress!!
